Averfehrden explores the world of Strautmann Umwelttechnik

An inspiring company visit

Glandorf – On the evening of June 22, 2023, Strautmann Umwelttechnik opened its doors for an exclusive company visit. On the initiative of the Averfehrden local council, almost 60 citizens of the district took the opportunity to get in touch with the company and take a look behind the scenes.

The company visit not only allowed the guests to get to know the managing directors Christoph Strautmann and Günter Komesker personally, but also offered an exciting tour of the company’s production halls and administrative offices.
As a leading manufacturer in the field of disposal technology, Strautmann Umwelttechnik has been revolutionizing the disposal of recyclables for its commercial customers since 1994, bringing about an economic and at the same time ecological recycling cycle. The innovative baling and briquetting presses offer solutions for recyclable materials such as cardboard, film, PET bottles, polystyrene, and residual waste in order to sustainably optimize in-house disposal processes, save storage space, reduce transport costs, and recycle profitably at the same time.

In the showroom, the company’s exhibition space, visitors were able to gain impressive insights into the variety of presses available. The functionalities and possible applications of the various machine types were also presented there.

The residents of Averfehrden were particularly impressed by the depth of production, because Strautmann Umwelttechnik develops and produces its durable compaction machines with over 180 employees directly on site in the modern company headquarters, which was moved into in 2020. Local production allows the company to meet its quality requirements.

Strautmann Umwelttechnik also took the opportunity to present itself as an attractive employer and long-standing training company for commercial and industrial apprenticeships. The company attaches great importance both to promoting skilled workers in the region and to training young talent.

After the official program, the participants took the opportunity to exchange experiences, impressions and ideas in a relaxed atmosphere over a delicious bratwurst and a refreshing beer.

Overall, the company tour was a win-win for both sides. The guests from Averfehrden gained a valuable insight into the company’s activities and were able to deepen their understanding of the industry. At the same time, the visit provided the company with an opportunity to present itself to the local community and stimulate dialogue among them.
